Skin regeneration
It is used to care for patients burned at the first and second-degree deep. It is the result of an investigation of 10 years, conducted by researchers from the Cinvestav Cell Biology Department, Campus Zacatenco. It was the first product with technology of skin culture in the world. It reduced by 50% the period of regeneration of the skin and reduction of pain in the burned patient. It has saved many lives through its early use. It was transferred to Bioskinco Laboratories for its proper marketing for the benefit of society. Is available at the IMSS, private hospitals and can be acquiring throughout the Mexican Republic.
Probacil
It is a biological soil inoculant. Effective in promoting plant growth and prevent soil diseases. The active ingredient is a beneficial bacterium called Bacillus Subtilis. An investigation was conducted to find an alternative to the fungus that attacks several crops for their control, previously used only fungicides. After studying 1000 strains the bacterium was found (the natural enemy of this fungus). Once knowing the genetic profile of the bacterium it was obtained its isolation and growth in industrial level. LAPISA became interested in the product and established its marketing at national level. During the investigation to validate the product it was observed that it promoted the growth of the root working as Biofertilizer.
Improved adobe bricks
They are emulsions linked to the conventional components for the production of the partition wall. The adobe bricks have a moisture absorption saving 40% of the energy cost of production in relation to the red brick. The adobe bricks improved supports compressive strength greater than the red brick.
Abatement of contaminated soils
It is one of the most economic techniques that exist. Coffee beans are used as natural purifiers of contaminated soils.
Developments arising from this Project
- Soil bioremediation surrounding Coatzacoalcos River, in the municipality of Nanchital.
- Elimination of pesticides in the area east of Tlaxcala.
- Bioremediation of 250 tons of soil contaminated with hydrocarbons, in the Tehuantepec Isthmus
